How daomau.net.vn handles optional analytics and gives visitors control over consent.

This site counts page views, and you can turn it off

The site uses Google Analytics to count page views and see where readers arrive from. It is on by default. Counting sets a _ga cookie in your browser and anonymises your IP address; Google advertising and personalisation features are disabled, and no name, email address or anything you type is sent.

Turn it off at any time

Every page has a line in the footer stating the current setting with a Turn off button. Using it stops data being sent and clears the _ga cookie immediately. The preference is stored locally, so it applies per browser and per device.

Why there is no consent banner

The only figure this project needs is how often each page is read, so it knows what to write next. A banner covering the page on arrival costs the reader more than that figure is worth, so the site states plainly what it does in the footer and keeps the off switch one click away.
